Inspired Impressions

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to quickly produce these for mood boards...
Jeremiah Goodman's ability to capture the spirit of a space in watercolor is simply stunning.

Last December my fiance's friends invited us for a Hanukkah dinner in their beautiful apartment in Paris. Ever since then I keep coming across gorgeous Parisian homes everywhere... i think it's a sign...

Imperial Chinese Robes from the Forbidden City

From the 7 December 2010 – 27 February 2011, the V&A's winter exhibition shows three centuries of beautiful and historic royal robes worn by the emperors and empresses of the Qing Dynasty, the last ruling dynasty of China (1644-1911). All objects in exhibition are from the Palace Museum, Beijing.
Definitely worth seeing!

Cool Wall lamps from the 20s and 30s

I came across these today and LOVE them!! Bauhaus is such a great era!

The GRAS lamps were used widely by Le Corbusier in his offices and projects...Today they have become a sought  after collector's item!..One day!!

Last week an old friend from high school sent me a photo album she found, of me and friends from school years. Wow, there were some unfortunate fashion choices in there... in fact every outfit I wore is a major "DON'T".
Why couldn't I dress like this when I was a teenager...

Jane Aldridge started her fashion blog in April 2007, when she was 15 years old.
Over the top, dramatic, quirky and refreshingly original, Jane's sense of style is
undeniably inspiring.
Go to page 110 of Rue magazine to see her house designed by Samantha Reitmayer Sano of  Style/SWOON, whose work and blog i really like.

9 Hour Hotel

As Hotel Designers we try to think and produce some of the most exciting spaces we can think of.... this video shows the other side of that with some more "Basic" things needed within a Hotel.

These "Capsule" Hotels are popping up in Cities all over the world.

15 minute art

Georgina changed my life yesterday, when she introduced me to Brusheezy, where you can download really great Photoshop brushes. Here are some 15 minute creations using Photoshop brushes ONLY. Who needs art consultants? (Just kidding)

Art For Wildlife’s Sake

Wednesday is a perfect day to shamelessly promote one's very talented little brother. Stanislav is a Brooklyn-based photographer, an avid traveller and wildlife enthusiast. Photographs from his travels are available on Stanislav’s Print Shoppe and are sold in affordable limited editions of 8"x10", 11"x14" and 16"x20". Pop by his website to take a look... This one is my favorite...
Alpaca, Awana Kancha, Peru, November 2009

The Print Shoppe also supports a cause close to Stanislav’s heart:
"A ten percent donation from each sale will be made towards creating American Prairie Reserve in northeastern Montana. This future three-million acre wildlife sanctuary will provide an uninterrupted area that will harbor more than 90 species of mammals, 300 birds and over 1,500 kinds of plants."
